Emily Johnson, MS

Hello, there! My name is Emily, and I am a recent graduate who is eagerly pursuing my licensure under the guidance of Heritage of Hope Counseling.

Education and Experience

As a recent graduate, I earned my master’s degree from Holy Family University’s Graduate Counseling Program, focusing on clinical mental health.

While I have experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the majority of my experience comes from working with adults that are experiencing dual diagnoses-a mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse.

My internship was within a psychiatric hospital; therefore, I have been exposed to and worked with individuals from all different backgrounds and varying degrees of mental health concerns.

My ‘Why’

My current passion lies with human intimacy and relationships. Intimacy can take many forms including mental, emotional, spiritual. And relationships whether it be familial, platonic, occupational, romantic, etc., I believe are vital to overall human happiness. We are social creatures after all!

I want to help individuals bolster, maintain, and have healthy relationships not only with others around them, but with themselves as well.

In My Free Time…

You can find me relaxing on my days off! There is nothing I love more than taking the day for myself going shopping, eating good food, taking a nap, or listening to music. I am an avid KPop fan, and my goal is to attend more concerts in the near future.

I also love spending time with my family. My family is my main support system; my heart and home.
